This menswear collection was created in collaboration with five Ryerson classmates. The objective of this assignment was to create a cohesive menswear line worthy of showing at the third year fashion show entitled Wanderlust. As the team that won the award for best menswear collection, we received the honour of showing at Oakville's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Show (hosted by Fashion TV's Jeanne Beker). As Quality Assurance Inspector for my team, I guided them through the product development process to come in first out of five teams.

Wanderlust Fashion Show
Featuring Ryerson's Third Year Student Collections

We placed first!

Our collection used tweeds, herringbones, knits, and twills to channel a refined ease and classic style. Leather accents were incorporated into epaulettes, inner lapels, lapel piping, patches, waistbands, and welts to bring the collection into the present.

Oakville Fashion Show
Hosted by Jeanne Beker

The winners showed in Oakville too!

Canadian icon Jeanne Beker of Fashion Television (FT) fame hosted this event. As winners of the Wanderlust Fashion show, our group received the honour of presenting our collection here as well. Little did we know then, FT would cease production the following year after a glorious twenty seven years on air.

Style Book

Working on this collection and witnessing every step of the project from start to end was fulfilling. The most difficult part of the project was towards the end when my team mate and I compiled this style book. The major aspects of the project were complete but this was the last hurdle before the finish line.
